Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2  is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics superhero team Guardians of the Galaxy, produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures. It is intended to be the sequel to 2014’s Guardians of the Galaxy and the fifteenth film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

    It was announced on June 29th, 2015, that the title would be, 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2'. Originally set for a July 2017 release but was pushed ahead to a release date of May 5, 2017. Nebula is rumoured to possibly be the main villain. The poster for the film is a parody of the Ramones album cover, Rocket to Russia.
